How long will this vaccine take and is it really going to bring our lives to normal again? My NYC will never be the same again….
The scientists around the world are racing to find the vaccine to covid-19, yet we don’t hear as much on how the vaccines are made. Since human existence, we have used the medicinal plants for various cures. I was curious if the current covid-19 research involves plants. A little research revealed that a team in Spain is using plant biology to engineer antifungal proteins which would result in the production of antigen in Nicotiana benthamiana leaves which in turn could lead to oral immunization. Oddly, Nicotiana benthamiana comes from a tobacco family.
